You are cordially invited to join the ITech group and your colleagues for a presentation and information session on the IDeaL Media Mentor Initiative, Thursday, November 19 at 4 PM in Griffin 3.
What Can IDeaL Do For You?
The IDeaL Initiative is a new program sponsored by OIT and managed through the Media Education Center (MEC - Jesup 316). In its pilot phase for the fall semester, the program supported three courses whose faculty designed specific assignments that introduced new components of media scholarship and production. The courses and assignments were:
To support these media assignments, OIT provided faculty with MEC Student Media Mentors who created and delivered technology sessions during class meetings and were available outside of class to provide one-on-one assistance as needed.
Please join us in Griffin 3 on November 19 at 4 PM as the faculty and their mentors share their thoughts on the experience and ideas for future development. ITech liaisons will also be on hand to talk with you about opportunities or ideas for utilizing a mentor in your courses. ITech is currently organizing IDeaL projects for spring semester and this is your chance to jump on board!
Refreshments will be served, RSVP's greatly appreciated.
OIT is excited to announce the launch of two new wireless network spaces, Purple Help & Purple Air. Our older networks (FacStaff and Student) are being phased out, and will become unavailable shortly.
